CED established its Eastern Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, to support the eastern and north-eastern states in the area of Environment and Development. The Centre has full-fledged training facility and people from Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal are attending the training programs conducted here.

Short term courses in Solid Waste Management, Waste Water Management, Slaughter House Design, Municipal Accounting, Urban Governance, short term training in Water Supply Engineering, etc. are conducted at the Eastern Region Centre.

The Centre also offers managerial and career courses in GIS and Remote Sensing for national as well as international candidates
